Our Story

David and Vivian Burbano’s story began in Bogotá, Colombia, where they first met as teenagers in 1994. Their love of music brought them together when Vivian’s family was invited to sing at a church where David was the pianist. Though their time together was short, the spark of their shared passion remained. In 1995, Vivian’s family moved to the United States, but both David and Vivian continued to pursue their music education, each majoring in music and performance.

Fast forward to 2009, they reconnected through Facebook. Their bond reignited, and David soon decided to move to the U.S. They married shortly after and discovered that their shared passion for music and education had only grown. Working together in various music schools, they gained invaluable teaching and performance experience. Inspired to create something of their own, they decided to open a music school where they could implement innovative teaching plans tailored to their students’ needs.

In 2015, BCC Music Houston opened its doors at Bethany Christian Church. Their mission: to serve families and individuals eager to expand their musical knowledge. As parents themselves, David and Vivian understand the challenges families face in finding the right music education. This insight has helped them design lessons that cater to each student’s unique style and musical goals.
